Ocean Education

Teachers and educators: Use the ocean as your classroom, and take your students on an exciting circumnavigation.

In August 2021, the sail ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl set out on a voyage around the world. The ship is equipped as a research vessel, and will function as a floating university until April 2023.

The One Ocean Expedition is part of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.

On board the ship are both researchers, students, content producers and committed fellow sailors. They share both research routines and results, daily life and their reflections with us.

Throughout the voyage, partners from the school sector facilitate this information so that students can follow the journey closely, gain new knowledge, and increase their commitment to sustainable development for the ocean.

Some of the material will be available in English.
